Im Rahmen der seit dem 27. März 2021 geltenden Verordnung (EU) 2019/1381 über die Transparenz und Nachhaltigkeit der EU-Risikobewertung im Bereich der Lebensmittelkette überarbeitete die Europäische Behörde für Lebensmittelsicherheit (EFSA) zahlreiche administrative und wissenschaftliche Leitlinien.

In Bezug auf Nährstoffquellen, Säuglingsanfangs- und Folgenahrung sowie Lebensmittel für besondere medizinische Zwecke veröffentlichte die EFSA folgende aktualisierte Leitlinien:

• Guidance on safety evaluation of sources of nutrients and bioavailability of nutrient from the sources (Revision 1) (EFSA Journal 2021;19(19):6552) 
• Scientific and technical guidance for the preparation and presentation of a dossier for evaluation of an infant and/or follow‐on formula manufactured from protein hydrolysates (Revision 1) (EFSA Journal 2021;19(19):6556) 
• Scientific and technical guidance on foods for special medical purposes in the context of Article 3 of Regulation (EU) No 609/2013 (EFSA Journal 2021;19(19):6544)
